Before commencing learning activities, students must submit a study plan for each pupil early in the semester. After the student fulfills all the requirements, they fill out the study plan form through the academic portal to apply a study plan within a certain period. Students must consult an academic counsellor for approval when submitting a study plan. If the student is late in filling out the study plan form from the allotted time, then the student will lose academic rights during the semester period. The Academic Counsellor (DPA) has the responsibility to:
- Providing valuable academic counselling to students.
- Motivating students to become valuable and successful learners.
- Guiding students to make sensible plans in the learning process at UNS so that they are able to pass according to the specified programme and competencies.
- Assisting students in internalising the noble values of UNS.
- Helping students develop a commendable intellectual character.
- Motivating students to become graduates who always adapt to progress in science and technology.
- Requirements for submitting a study plan/filling out a study plan form:
- Students complete the study plan form online via SIAKAD (using a computer with internet access).
- Students print out the KRS (Planning Card) within the specified timeframe.
- Students take the KRS printout to the Academic and Student Affairs section for review.
- KRS printouts are copied in duplicate; students then come to the academic advisor to request approval of the planning card copies.
- If the academic advisor is unavailable within the KRS approval timeframe, the head of the academic supervising laboratory approves the copies.
- The approved KRS is submitted to the Academic and Student Affairs section (original). Copies to the Academic Advisor and the student are also submitted, after which proof of acceptance is obtained from the Academic and Student Affairs section.
- If students do not submit the approved KRS to the Academic and Student Affairs section, they will not be registered as active students eligible to participate in academic activities that semester.
- Students can change their KRS no later than 2 weeks after lectures start.
- They can cancel their KRS by the 4th week after the start of term.
- Students must obtain approval from their Academic Advisor to change or cancel their KRS.
