1. Lectures and Practical Classes
Pupils are obliged to participate in scientific endeavours such as seminars, practical sessions, and other events in accordance with the prearranged study plan and timetable, as per the rules in force. A semester’s study must last at least sixteen lectures. Pupils are required to sign the attendance register for each delivered lecture and must be present for at least 75% of all lectures. If a pupil fails to meet the minimum attendance requirement, they are barred from sitting any examinations, unless they are ill, have suffered a bereavement in the immediate family, or are representing the institution in academic activities. Pupils may apply for leave from the academic department, but this must be done no later than five days after their absence from class. In addition, BOAE implements the Freedom to Learn-Independent Campus (MBKM) curriculum. One of the MBKM policies is that students have the right to study outside of BOAE for 3 semesters.
2. Prerequisite Courses
BOAE offers a number of prerequisite courses. These are courses that must be completed prior to enrolling in certain compulsory courses. The minimum acceptable grade for these prerequisite courses is a D.
3. Examination and Evaluation
The assessment of student lectures is conducted through various methods, including quizzes, assignments, case studies, project-based learning, mid-term exams, and end-of-term exams. The choice of assessment method is tailored to the subject matter being taught and the policies of the lecturer. Assessments can be conducted orally or in writing, as per the agreement between the student and the lecturer. Only students who meet the specified criteria are granted permission to sit the exams. The final assessment results are announced to students at the end of the term via the official website, which is https://siakad.uns.ac.id.
4. Course and Practical Class Exam Requirements
Students can participate in lectures and exams if they meet the applicable requirements. The exam can be conducted in written form or practically. The requirements for attending lectures and exams are as follows:
- Students have fulfilled the applicable academic administrative requirements.
- Students have attended at least 75% of the total lectures conducted.
- For practical classes, students must participate in practical sessions in accordance with the applicable regulations.
